PM-DCIS supports two comparison approaches: biological-variation-based RCV (using shared CVi/CVa data) and laboratory-defined delta thresholds (absolute, percentage, or rate-of-change). RCV exceedance indicates the observed difference exceeds analytical and within-subject biological variation — it does not by itself establish clinical significance. Delta-check procedures require laboratory-specific design and validation.
